About the Tour

For the past 20 years, Hooked on Phonics^® has been one of the nation’s best-known and most trusted names in teaching kids to read, delivering early learning reading programs to more than two million families and thousands of schools.

To celebrate our 20th anniversary, Hooked on Phonics is launching HOP Across America, a 10-city mobile bus tour to get kids excited about reading and educate parents on the importance of reading skill development.

The HOP Across America celebration features:

• A cool HOP Across America bus with interactive learning stations where kids can try Hooked on Phonics reading programs, games, and new electronic learning toys by Zizzle
• A FREE Hooked on Phonics backpack filled with books for the first 100 kids at each event
• The chance to win $500 worth of Hooked on Phonics products at every event
• Free CD-ROM giveaways, contests, and other fun stuff for parents, kids, and educators

Plus, as part of the HOP Across America celebration, we are donating over $1 million worth of our reading programs and products to literacy leaders throughout the nation, including First Book, a national nonprofit organization.
